Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapy (OT) addresses improving one’s participation in what they find meaningful and important (occupations). After completing an evaluation to assess the child’s developmental concerns, our skilled occupational therapists are ready to implement individualized interventions that will help your child improve their independence in occupations that matter most to your family.
Skilled interventions for OT can include self-care skills (dressing, feeding, bathing, etc.), fine motor skills, sensory regulation, motor coordination, and social skills. Diagnoses or conditions that an OT might treat include:
- Sensory Processing Disorders
- Autism
- ADHD
- Down Syndrome
- Stroke
- Brain Injury
- Cerebral Palsy
- Dyspraxia and motor incoordination
- Feeding/Eating difficulties
- Handwriting difficulties
- Fine motor Delays
- Visual Motor delays
- Poor social skills
